Held at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA on March 22rd-24th, 2013. Three separate halls packed with high-end custom cars, trucks, motorcycles, and even bicycles.

Everything presented was of the highest quality with very clean thought out displays. I didn’t see any cars that made me think “why is that here”. Today (March 22) was free entry for children under 10 and there were many families present. It was great to see so many fathers or mothers taking their kids around to see the cars and teach them a little about them.

Even though the show started at 2pm there was a line beginning to form by 1. An hour after the doors opened the crowds started to fill the isles.

There were a wide variety of vendors on-hand selling everything from auto cleaning supplies to artistic items and clothing. Food was sold by the convention center and had a decent variety of items on the menu. Beer, soda and water were also available.

Tim Strange was present and more than willing to talk to anyone that stopped by to say hi. He was also nice enough to let me get a picture near one of his builds. I didn’t see any other Celebrity guests when I was there.

The staff working the show was friendly and approachable. If they couldn’t answer a question they found someone that could. The event seemed to be very organized.

The overall appearance of the Convention Center was clean and the display areas were marked-out so that there was plenty of room for crowds to move around. Parking was plentiful and close to the building. Even those arriving hours after the show opened did not have to walk far in the cold to get inside.

The overall atmosphere of the crowd seemed to be really happy with the show and everyone from 2 years old to 90 found something to spend time admiring.

My passion for custom rides started in the early 90's with car audio. Having a ton of friends who bumped 'decent' sounding systems and having my buddy Arnie build and install my first system in my '95 200SX SE-R. Having the itch to start something on my own I designed ecaudio.com (East Coast Audio) from the ground up. It was a great learning experience and gave me the opportunity to dive into the Information Technology field, which is my major. I created CarShowz in '09, there was a need to consolidate car shows throughout the U.S. My passion for custom rides is a hobby gone mad. I will continue to help the scene as long as my heart is pumping!
