By  |

The 2014 Northeast Rod & Custom Show has come and gone and it was another very successful year. The quality of rides that are in this show continue to raise the bar for custom builders. Not only was this an amazing Car Show but they raised $5,700 for the Make a Wish Foundation which is a truly great accomplishment.

Some of the greatest customs from around the nation Graced the halls of the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA. There was a wide variety of cars, trucks, motorcycles and bicycles on display in 4 large halls. There was everything from Rat Rods to full on one of a kind customs like Alan Beers 1957 Chevy named “Quicksilver”. Quicksilver has placed in the top 10 out of 2600 entries at this year’s SEMA and has been a 2013 Great 8 Riddler finalist. There is not an inch of this truck that was not touched. It is so nice that it is the 2014 Northeast Cup Champion. Congratulations Alan!

Ghost Flames and other paint effects were a big hit this year. Check out the wicked flame job one the yellow beauty.

The Ghost Flames on this car were a thing of beauty!

Shiny paint wasn’t the only way to go for some builders which goes to show that sometimes the rougher the look the better the outcome.

There were a good amount of beautiful trucks on display this year.

Check out the paintwork on Rat-ical Wood.

The Ghost Checkers really pop on this race ready Camaro.

It wasn’t just about older vehicles. This layed out dually was a real stunner.

From the paint color to the wheels, this car was well thought out. The rootbeer color paint stopped me in my tracks.

This is just one of many of the original and cool displays found at the show. You can really tell a ton of thought goes into them.

From an early age my parents used to take me to car shows and a few automotive museums and that is where I got the car bug. Ever since then I have had mainly cars that were more go than show until 2008 when I bought my 2005 Silverado. I started showing the truck and soon after started taking pictures at the shows. In early 2012 I put a call out asking if any sites needed a photographer and here I am, A proud member of the Carshowz family.
