Grounded 4 Life One Day Slam 2017

By  |

Grounded 4 Life One Day Slam 2017 – After taking 2 years off the Grounded for Life One Day Slam was back for 2017 and people couldn’t be happier. This year had a record turnout of 449 vehicles that ranged from vintage and muscle cars to lifted and mini trucks. Even though the weather was hot and humid it was amazing to walk around and talk to people from all the different scenes and have everyone say they were having a great time. One of the great things about this show is you can park with your friends or club which might have made it tough on the judges but definitely made it great for spectators. Different cars and trucks up and down every isle.

The Ground 4 Life crew knocked it out of the park again this year. Just as in the past everything was well organized, from parking to registration and later, judging and the awards. Food and drinks were provided by the great people in the Bristol Township Senior Center and the prices were very reasonable. The crowds were a mix of people from all age groups and everyone seemed to be happy to share info about their ride or learn about another’s. This show felt like what the car scene should be. Everyone from different cultures getting along and respecting each other with no drama to speak of. Spectators are always free at the One Day Slam and it was great to see locals enjoying the day with the participants.

It’s already been announced that the show will be back for 2018 and CarShowz will be there again supporting and providing coverage for people to enjoy.

From an early age my parents used to take me to car shows and a few automotive museums and that is where I got the car bug. Ever since then I have had mainly cars that were more go than show until 2008 when I bought my 2005 Silverado. I started showing the truck and soon after started taking pictures at the shows. In early 2012 I put a call out asking if any sites needed a photographer and here I am, A proud member of the Carshowz family.
