800hp 358ci NASCAR Rat Truck
A 1947 Chevy 3100 Rat Themed pickup truck…can we stop there and just look at photos? I am truly at a lost for words. After attending Baltimore’s The Rodder’s Journal this past weekend I am still craving the need to see more bad ass hand-crafted built rides and this bad boy satisfies that craving.
Boasting a 800hp 358ci Richard Childress NASCAR Sprint Cup Engine, Adjustable coil-over front and rear suspension, Custom headers and side pipes, EMCO NASCAR approved 4-speed manual transmission, Custom NASCAR-styled frame, 4-wheel disc brakes, Winters quick-change rear axle, Custom aluminum hand riveted interior AND it is STREET LEGAL.
Within the past few years Rat Rod themed rides have become more and more popular because of the flexibility of taking an old school ride and doing what ever it is your heart desires. A unique look, custom fabricated parts without needing to perfect every single body panel, paint job, chrome part, etc. It is a love / hate genre, but more and more enthusiasts are starting to understand and appreciate the one-off designs that are being put into these vehicles, not to mention it is cool to see an old car, truck, or motorcycle revived and out in the scene again.
With a Rat Truck designed to pretty much hang with any muscle car out there, this Rat themed ride has certainly earned the respect it deserves. Looking at the photos it almost looks like a model, but hearing the engine, you are quickly woken up from your dream!
I think even the “stance” kids would appreciate the way this truck sits, low and sleek, aerodynamic with a hint of some modernization with a NASCAR-style carbon fiber splitter. Of course you cannot miss the TIG-welded stainless headers that drape into side pipes that run along the side of the trucks running boards. To break up the patina the truck is accented with a chrome (dented) front grille, a custom one-off front visor and of course chrome door handles.
Under the rough exterior is truly a well-built racing machine with over $100,000(US) into this truck; truly a work of art!
The cool thing about this if you have $79,900(US) laying around, this truck could be yours! Visit: RK Motors Charlotte
