Counts Kustoms Shop Tour 2016

Counts Kustoms, located off of Highland Drive in Las Vegas tucked away in a small industrial business park; we had a chance to stop by during our SEMA Show 2016 trip. It is amazing how many landmarks are in and around Las Vegas, we surely got our monies worth out of this 5 day trip.

We headed over to the Counts Kustoms Shop on Wednesday late afternoon / early evening. The Counts Kustoms staff were anticipating the tourist visits throughout the week of SEMA, so they were ready with extra staff and parking attendants to greet us. The parking attendant mentioned they get about 2,000 visitors that come through the doors in a week.

It was pretty cool to actually visit the shop after watching their builds on TV. Everyone was very friendly, we snapped a couple of shots out in the parking lot, had to definitely capture the iconic web gate at the shop garage door entrance/exit.

We signed in at the lobby, a plush purple room that screamed Counts. The Counts Kustoms shop tour was free and we were all excited to check out the builds and to see what was going on inside.

Entering into the showroom we were greeted by a couple of cool Count Kustoms Choppers which set the tone for what we would see ahead, bad ass machines! The showroom was filled with rides and iconic builds done by Count Kustoms with a variety of rods, motorcycles, exotics, muscle cars, you name it. We were told only photos and no video as we walked in and signed the visitor log. As I immediately walked through the door, I had to grab a panoramic shot with my smart phone. I was immediately stopped by the attendant who thought I was shooting video. After I told him I was taking a panoramic pic, he was apologetic. The History Channel has an agreement with the shop for the video rights. So they need to make sure they follow the terms of the agreement with the History Channel.

OK, so, we will do a lot less yappin’ now and let you check out the photos below:

About Danny “Count” Koker via countskustoms.com: Danny Koker, the owner of Count’s Kustoms, is the creative force behind each project leaving his shop. Danny splits his pastimes between his love of all things automotive and his passion for music.

The self-taught mechanic grew up in Cleveland and Detroit with family blood lines that gifted him with the innate love of all things automotive. What started as a hobby many years ago has now turned into one of the most reputable and thriving customization/restoration shops in the country. Count’s Kustoms, originally created as a location where Koker could work on his private collection and those of friends and family, quickly grew to offer his unique flair and creative to the masses.

Having grown up with a father (Daniel Koker Sr.) that excelled as a musician, singer and composer, it is no wonder that the talented vocalist followed in the same footsteps. Over the years his father worked alongside such legendary greats as the Foggy River Boys, The Cathedral Quartet, Oakridge Boys, CL Franklin, Mahalia Jackson and more. With such an inspirational role model at the helm of his education into the music industry Koker was a natural born entertainer performing before audiences on-stage at Carnegie Hall from the tender age of 11.

An Infrastructure/Information Technology Manager by day, an automotive enthusiast the rest of my spare time. Most importantly a Father, Husband and a U.S. Navy Veteran! Combining my experiences and skills and came up with the ultimate creation of CarShowz.com. Armed with a camera who knows where this journey will take me but stay tuned, it's going to be an exciting ride!
