This year marked the 26th anniversary for the OK4WD Oktober Truckfest and it shows no sign of slowing down. The show field sold out this year. This is a show that I personally have been attending since I bought my truck in 2008 and one of the shows I look forward to every year. It is a very family friendly event and a place to catch up with old friends and make new ones. I didn’t show my truck this year but I did go with a group of friends. It is open to any truck, lifted or lowered and any kind of offroad vehicle. A wide variety of builds can be found including many takes on the popular Jeep lines. The host shop, OK4WD, is well known for their offroad builds.
when I mentioned it is a very family friendly event there are many reasons for it. The local Fire Department takes care of the show crowd with their grill setup. Food is very fairly priced and I personally really like what they do with pork roll. Since the proceeds go to the Fire Department I am more than happy to make a few trips for some tasty food. The staff is always ready to help with any questions or concerns or even just to talk about what they do at the shop. Kids are treated to face painting and if they want they can even paint a pumpkin to take home after the show. On the deck where awards are announced at the end of the show you can find live music for all to enjoy. As long as they hold this show I hope to be there to support it, maybe even with my truck if it is ever ready.
