For Off-road 4×4 Vehicles
I would suggest considering a rhino / bedliner type of material on exterior parts (front bumper, brush guard, over fenders, etc.) to help protect for trail driving, etc. Ceramic coating may help on areas such as the windshield, etc. to help with water run-off if you are crossing rivers, etc.
