A new truck show is upon us, the Classic Truck Throwdown 2023 will kick off its 1st Annual event June 30th through July 2nd, 2023 at 9055 Airport Road, Conroe, Texas. For those who are familiar, this is the home of the Lone Star Throwdown event as well. Registration will be open to Classic Trucks and SUV’s, Foreign and Domestic. 1998 and older vehicles are welcomed. Vehicle registration will be $80, this will get your vehicle pass and two weekend wristbands. Online registration will begin October 1, 2022 and will cap out at 2,000 vehicles.
If you are familiar with the Lone Star Throwdown event that is hosted in February in Conroe, the venue is perfect for a large event. LST is a very successfully ran event with over 2000+ vehicles registered, hundreds of vendors and over thousands of spectators throughout the weekend event. While LST caters towards old and new vehicles, the CTT event will host vehicles 1998 and older. Yes, we are “that old”! The ’98 Blazer that you used to cruise around in high school is eligible to enter in this event. Let me say it again, “we old!”
While Conroe’s weather in February is unpredictable, the Texas weather in June should be a bit “warmer” and hopefully less wetter. Either way these throwdown events always bring out the heavy hitters and people come from all over the world to attend these shows!
Other Details
As LST is a must attend event, there is no doubt this show will be successful as well. As folks ask me all of the time and are interested in attending, flying into Houston is fairly cheap, just an hour north to Conroe and along the way there are plenty of hotels, airbnb’s / options to stay at for the weekend. If CTT is anything like LST, there’s always stuff going on around town, such as open houses at local shops, cruise-ins, etc.
