The IMSA Racing Weathertech Sportscar Championship hosted at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on September 15 through 17. The weekend series hosts: Lamborghini Super Trofeo, WeatherTech Championship Qualifying, Porsche Carrera Cup and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway 240.
The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship features two styles of cars – Prototype, which showcases the latest automotive technology and are uniquely designed for the racetrack, and GT, which is based on road-going production models. These two styles of cars make up the series’ five classes – Grand Touring Prototype (GTP), Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2), Le Mans Prototype 3 (LMP3), GT Daytona Pro (GTD PRO) and GT Daytona (GTD).
We had the opportunity to walk through the paddock and grab some photos. The smell of race fuel and the sounds was truly our happy place.

More About the IMSA Racing TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks…
It’s not quite time to break out “Back Home Again in Indiana” for a sports car racing series with its roots in Florida and Georgia. But this weekend sees a welcome return to the fabled Indianapolis Motor Speedway by the stars and cars of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship after a nine-year absence to contest the TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks. Although future plans call for an endurance race, this year’s sprint race on Sunday is slated to go for two hours, 40 minutes on the Brickyard’s 14-turn, 2.439-mile road course. About CarShowz.com
CarShowz.com was born from decades of real automotive experience — the kind earned under shop lights, at late‑night meets, and through thousands of miles chasing the next great build. In 2009, we took a scrappy .us domain and turned it into a mission: fix the chaos of forums, flyers, and outdated event info. So we built the one-stop garage for car culture.
What started as a simple event hub evolved fast. Our passion behind the lens exploded, and automotive photography became the heartbeat of CarShowz — capturing the chrome, the craftsmanship, and the stories that make this community legendary.
CarShowz isn’t just a platform. It’s a crew. A movement. A brand forged by years of real‑world automotive grit — built by people who live it, breathe it, and bring it to life for the world to see.
