Mustang Owners Museum Concord, NC
The Mustang Owners Museum is a must see while visiting the Charlotte, NC area. We made a quick trip to Charlotte, NC to attend the Shelby GT500 Track Attack hosted by the Ford Performance Racing School.
We knew it would be tough to find something to do on a Sunday, which unfortunately is when we flew in the days before class. To our surprise, the museum was open, and it did not disappoint, lots of cool rides and history tucked away under one roof.
How about a CLAY S650?
Revealed by the Ford Motor Company this past September, this is a one-of-a-kind full size clay model used to fabricate the actual production vehicle. There were other cool design elements throughout the museum that the Ford Motor Company provided to show the museum visitors how vehicles were designed in the past.
Vin #211 Barn Find
The #211 barn find is one of the earliest known production Mustangs, built on March 9, 1964, the first day of assembly line production.
1964 New York World’s Fair Mustang VIN #0004
Owned by the Mansell Family, one of twelve Mustang Convertibles used to give rides in the Ford Pavilion. The ride inside the Ford Pavilion was designed and engineered by Disney. It is estimated that 40,000 people rode in this vehicle during the Fair in 1964.
Welcome to the Mustang Owners Museum
The Mustang Owners Museum showcases mild to wild mustangs, along with rare collectibles and memorabilia from all generations of mustangs. From a barn, with a true “barn find” mustang #211, built on the first day of assembly line production Mustangs on March 9, 1964 to the 1964 NY World’s Fair Mustang, the Golden Mustang commemorating the 1,000,000th Mustang built, and Henry Ford’s mustang.

About CarShowz.com
Established in 2009, CarShowz.com was originally created under the .us domain name and later converted to a .com. The old days of searching forum posts and going through the stack of event flyers that was placed on your seat at a show was becoming a pain.
The primary goal for the design of the CarShowz.com website was to provide a one-stop-shop for automotive enthusiasts to easily find events and market their local event for free. Over the years the website has evolved into what it is today taking on automotive photography as one of our staples for the website.
An Infrastructure/Information Technology Manager by day, an automotive enthusiast the rest of my spare time. Most importantly a Father, Husband and a U.S. Navy Veteran! Combining my experiences and skills and came up with the ultimate creation of CarShowz.com. Armed with a camera who knows where this journey will take me but stay tuned, it's going to be an exciting ride!
