2022 Shelby GT500 Heritage CFTP

2022 Shelby GT500 Heritage – The Shelby GT500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack (CFTP) is an already amazing car, with history dating back to 1967 when the Mustang Shelby GT500 has stood for the pinnacle of Mustang performance and has continued to build on the legacy of Shelby performance.

The Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition is an iconic Shelby in itself with a Brittany Blue paint that is a well-known as a historical trademark of the Shelby brand. Craig Dickerson took his Shelby to the next level, opting for the factory exterior Wimbledon White exterior painted stripe over-the-top with a unique GT500 logo incorporated into the stripe.

Craig put away the carbon fiber wheels that are included with the CFTP package and went with a custom aftermarket set of Vossen wheels. Running a slightly larger tire up front to help with the form and fitment for the offset. However, taking the Shelby to the next level is not just including a set of wheels and tires. Taking a 5.2-liter V8 700+ horsepower track-ready beast from where it is today (stock) and adding a few more ponies is next level.

Craig’s Shelby will be heading off to a known shop here in the U.S. and will be getting a bit more work done. Once the Shelby is back home with the upgrades, we will publish a part II of Craig’s feature with the before and after modifications, so stay tuned. In the meantime, enjoy our shoot of Craig’s Shelby GT500 in all of its goodness! These Shelby’s are really amazing, speaking from experience myself as I am typically found cruising with Craig in my 2020 Shelby GT500.

Stay tuned in a couple of months as we unleash the new GT500 beast!

About CarShowz.com

Established in 2009, CarShowz.com was originally created under the .us domain name and later converted to a .com. The old days of searching forum posts and going through the stack of event flyers that was placed on your seat at a show was becoming a pain.

The primary goal for the design of the CarShowz.com website was to provide a one-stop-shop for automotive enthusiasts to easily find events and market their local event for free. Over the years the website has evolved into what it is today taking on automotive photography as one of our staples for the website.

An Infrastructure/Information Technology Manager by day, an automotive enthusiast the rest of my spare time. Most importantly a Father, Husband and a U.S. Navy Veteran! Combining my experiences and skills and came up with the ultimate creation of CarShowz.com. Armed with a camera who knows where this journey will take me but stay tuned, it's going to be an exciting ride!
