If you travel just about a hour north of Houston will lead you to Conroe, Texas where the Montgomery County Fairgrounds hosts one of the largest events in the Nation, Lone Star Throwdown 2019. We are 151 days, 20 hours, 53 minutes and 30 seconds away from the event, but whose counting. LST caps their event at 2,000 show vehicles and even though we are months out, they have reached just about 50% registration already. So hurry up and register if you plan to attend and compete, otherwise Richard Rawlings will purchase up all of the show slots (Misfit Garage joke / TV #fakenews shenanigans).
We have attended LST the past couple of years and are excited to return and work with the LST family for 2019. ’19 marks our 10 Year Anniversary for CarShowz and there’s no better way to celebrate then attending Lone Star Throwdown 2019.
Lone Star Throwdown 2019
So what is there to look forward to?
If you are itching to get out of your state and check out other events (especially if you are on the East Coast), we highly recommend you make the trip to Texas to check out this show. If you attend with a friend or 2, split a hotel room and rental car, the cost is really not that bad to get away for the weekend. To head down for 3-4 days you are looking around $500-600. The show is full of parts vendors, vehicle shops, food vendors and a ton of custom vehicles to look at. Although the show is predominantly trucks, you will see a good variety of classic cars and more.
So whether you are an automotive enthusiast just looking to get out and check out new rides or a show competitor who wants to get out and hang out with fellow car and truck folks, this is the must attend event!
