Words by Jeff C., CarShowz.com | Coverage by Rob W., CarShowz.com

SEMA Show 2022 Recap & Coverage – We do not want to start off this article by mentioning the “C word”, however, stating the obvious it has had a major affect on the automotive aftermarket community over the past couple of years. With the dreaded supply chain issues, inflation and people working mostly from home, we knew going into the 2022 event the SEMA Show would be affected in one capacity or another.

There were a ton of rumors leading up to the event with major manufacturers pulling out of the 2022 SEMA Show; such as Ford, GM and Hyundai, but Toyota, Honda, Lexus, Volkswagen, Nissan, and Mopar remained*. SEMA Show management announced that the 2022 Show was on pace to be 25% larger than 2021. When the show opened November 1, more than 1,850 exhibitors filled the entire Las Vegas Convention Center** with unique custom vehicles, product innovations and lifestyle trends. The vendors, manufacturers, custom vehicles, products and foot traffic did not seem to slow down the event at all.

The event is packed with many activities for attendees that gives them an opportunity to connect with nearly 300 companies that are making this their first SEMA Show. In addition to the above mentioned, there was special attractions, industry celebrities, thousands of new products, technical and career-building seminars, driving and drift demos, the SEMA Cruise and more are available to all attendees and only found at the SEMA Show.
