The SEMA Show Experience – After attending the 2022 SEMA Show, I wanted to take a few minutes to reflect on what the show experience is really like. Prior to leaving, the best advice I got was “bring good shoes”. The massive show fills every convention hall that the Las Vegas Convention Center has to offer. That is over 2.5 million square feet of indoor space filled with car related products, vendors, and show cars. For comparison, the average Sam’s Club is about 134,000 sq ft according to WalMart.com. To cover the equivalent area of the entire show you would…

SEMA 2022 Top 10 Trucks – Today we are taking a look at the top truck builds of SEMA Show 2022.  Every truck on this list would easily win best in show at your local car show.  Choosing between them was not easy.  But since this is a top 10, I had to make some difficult choices and pick a winner.  So without further ado, let’s jump in. 10. A 1932 pickup rat rod is my number 10 pick. Unlike most rat rods I see, it was actually clean and very well put together. The interior, air ride, and custom…

Words by Jeff C., CarShowz.com | Coverage by Rob W., CarShowz.com SEMA Show 2022 Recap & Coverage – We do not want to start off this article by mentioning the “C word”, however, stating the obvious it has had a major affect on the automotive aftermarket community over the past couple of years. With the dreaded supply chain issues, inflation and people working mostly from home, we knew going into the 2022 event the SEMA Show would be affected in one capacity or another. There were a ton of rumors leading up to the event with major manufacturers pulling out…

SEMA 2022 Extreme Vehicles Top 10 – During the Special Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas this year, I scouted out what I thought were the best “extreme” vehicle builds. So lowered cars and lifted trucks don’t count. I am talking vehicles that were designed for extreme sports. To qualify the vehicle has to have less four wheels, more than four wheels, or be originally intended for taking on sand dunes. 10. This four-seater Can-Am XRS is a clean build. It didn’t seem too extreme until the vendor, Universal Air, asked if I wanted to see to the…

Exotics Racing Experience Las Vegas – What do you do while waiting for the Special Equipment Manufacturer’s Association (SEMA) Show 2022 to officially kick off? How about plan a trip to Speed Vegas to drive a supercar? That was my idea anyway, so I headed over for the Exotics Racing Experience at Speed Vegas to see what it was all about. Since I had never driven a supercar nor driven full throttle on a racetrack, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Fortunately, no experience is needed. The folks at Speed Vegas walked me through the process. Upon arrival, I did…

C8 Corvette – The highly anticipated mid-engine eighth generation Corvette, C8 for short, made its Corvettes at Carlisle debut at the three-day event spanning August 23-25, 2019. This was first time many Corvette fans got to lay their eyes on Chevrolet’s latest creation. Personally, I am more of Mustang guy; but even I was excited to see the C8, and for good reason. In my personal opinion, this is the most aggressive yet elegant Corvette GM has ever produced. It has a super-car mystique to match its super-car sub three second 0-60mph time. Moving to a mid-engine configuration, GM had…
